Bloodshot eye after fast
I ended my seven day fast 2 days ago. Today is the night of day 2 of recovery/refeeding.
Since the morning of day 1 half of my left eye is bloodshot. It is the half towards the centre of the face and not the outer half.
The redness is not extreme, but is certainly there and noticeable.
I wonder what this means?
Conventional medicine websites say that if it stays for more than 2 days one should see a doctor. I am not too keen on that, especially if they are going to put drugs into my eyes.
I actually feel this is a good thing because the condition is caused by a dilation of the blood vessels, which means more blood supply to the eye. I suffer from lymphatic congestion in the head, especially around this particular eye and in this particular area of the eye. The fast seems to have cleaned some blood vessels, lymph and the liver, so there is fresh and nutritious supply of blood to the eyes. That's my amateur explanation.
I will wait and see for another day or so, perhaps use a cold pack then, and if it still remains this way I'll visit a doctor.
Does this seem to be a good enough explanation of the 'problem'? I have no pain or discomfort, the eye actually feels slightly better since y'day.
Thanks.
