I just checked and I live in a city which does not use chlorine, but uses chloramine instead (which chloramines, I do not know). Most carbon filters do not take most of the chloramines out. Do you know of any that definitely take it out? My city does not fluoridate the water, so I don't think spending money on reverse osmosis is necessary - but it may be if no other options can remove chloramine completely.
No, I'm not putting vitamin c in each glass of water I drink to nullify the chloramine. It is too tedious and too acidic to do all day.
