Is there an order in which the body cleans itself?
Hello all
I am on day 6 of my water fast. I will probably stop on day 8 so that I can go back to work.
I am wondering if there is an order according to which the body cleanses itself in a fast?
From what I have read, the older illnesses and injuries, and perhaps the dormant ones, are approached later by the life force - say on days 10 or 15 and later.
One major reason I am fasting is that I have lymphatic congestion in my head, which makes my eyes stiff and hurting, and affects my social interactions. This started two months ago, probably as a result of liver flushing, but I cannot be sure.
Over this fast I can more or less all the time feel the lymph flowing down my eye area towards the ears and further down. However, the decongestion doesn't seem to get over.
At other times I feel sensations in my liver - a flowing sensation, a slight ache - which I assume is bile moving into the intestines and perhaps the stones getting softer or dissolving.
At times something seems to be happening in the colon, and other times something with the kidneys, although I can't be sure if it is the kidneys or just the back muscles.
There are also muscle aches and nausea, and very little energy.
All this makes me curious - is there an order by which the body heals itself?
And how many days should one fast to relieve lymphatic congestion in the head?
Chrisb writes in his post on stages of fasting that it is after day 15 that the lymph system becomes clean. I wonder if that also applies to this particular problem with lymph that I have.
I would appreciate any thoughts on this. Thanks
