is it ok to put kefir grains in the refrigerator?

i ordered some kefir online and it came but i haven't had the time to buy any milk yet. it came in a small aluminum bag and i put it in the refrigerator until i have the time to buy some milk sometime this week. will the grains be ok or should i take them out the refrigerator and put them somewhere less cold?
