As long as you don't take it internally or apply it to the skin undiluted you should be OK.

Caution: Even a small amount of this will kill a cat, bird or fish.

I use a spray bottle of diluted permethrin to spray things that my cat doesn't have access to.

The most important thing is to use a tape lint roller to pick up all the salt like pieces from the sheets. Sweep constantly with a sweeper that has a fine or Hepa filter. Tweet
