Clays are adsorbents (not the same as absorbent) meaning they draw and bind other materials.

It is possible, as you theorise, that the clay could adsorb the toxins in the digestive tract, but it is also possible that the clay could adsorb the therapeutic agents of the flush mixture. Tweet
