Try lecithin, it's far cheaper and more beneficial.
If you do not like soya, you can use sunflower lecithin. The powder is fairly inexpensive but needs mixing with water and blending or mixing into food. You can get granules but it is usually soya. Granules are fairly pleasant and easy to consume because it can be eaten with a spoon and the taste is okay.
You do need to get the dosage correct, slowly increasing until you are regular.
You may have other issues which makes you deficient in the nutrients in lecithin such as phosphatidylcholine.
