Can candida escape the gut and travel, when threatened?

I started taking Saccharomyces Boullardi a while back for colitis and it helped tremendously. However, each time I take it (I have taken it on and off before) I get athletes foot! I have no clue why this is, surely it can't be caused by the SB?

My only guess is that it is causing fungus to die, and some to 'escape' into the blood stream, where it then relocates?

This however seems quite far fetched, but that is why I am asking you lot what you think? Can candida do this?
