Dyeing hair, but I have folliculitis?

I only developed folliculitis on my scalp a couple of months ago. I have no clue whether it is just chronic nonscarring, or folliculitis decalvans. I tend to jump to the worst conclusions, so at the moment I just 'assume' I have decalvans.

I'd like to have some fun before losing hair. Is it okay for me to get my hair dyed? If I have to have the dye avoid the scalp, is that something that hairdressers will typically do if you ask? Tweet
