Updated: the glucose is sky-high during diab. ketoacidosis
You think this is why.
Diabetics who get dangerously low BSugar pass out or get in coma; low BS in them is accidental rather than rule.
Diabetes has always been much more problematic with high blood sugar.
Diabetics get into ketosis because their
Sugar levels are sky-high, since they are either Insulin-resistant (as in Diabetes type 2) or their Insulin levels are low (or unstable) as in Diabetes type 1. The body cannot cycle the glucose - blood
Sugar - through the Krebbs' cycle and needs other energy line as in keto-glutarate and gamma-amino-butyrate to come to rescue. The latter produce the ketosis with acidosis, since the metabolism is so impaired at that stage.
However the fungus still feeds on the high glucose, not the ketones.
BTW I've seen ppl get rid of Candida through water-fasting. Never heard of getting fungus WHILE fasting.
