Yes, you are right to an extent, yet in the short recent time of recorded history, there has been epidemics such as the Bubonic Plague, that have wiped out a third of the population in a short 4 to 5 years period. How many of those people would have been happy to have had a zapper available.
In the time between 1490 and 1590, almost 90 percent of all native American Indians were killed by such simple illness as the flu because they had no resistance. They would have been very blessed to have had a zapper available to them.
There has been a string of plagues that have decimated the human population throughout the existence of humans. When the next one arrives, I will be at least satisfied that I have one of the best tools available for surviving. Even if it is not a cure or not completely effective, I will be pleased with any advantage that it provides me and mine, along with many other things.
Yes, if both you and I are still here to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of various modalities, that will be great. I do believe that my advantage is slightly better because I do not sit and scoff at the weaknesses of various modalities, I try to seek a solution to improve them.
