Oral Surgeon Referral for Root Canal Extraction

Hello everyone,

I have an infected root canal tooth and have decided to have the tooth extracted (instead of retreated). Does anyone know of an excellent oral surgeon who uses the proper protocol for removing root canal teeth and surrounding infected tissue?

I would prefer to find someone in the Washington DC, Maryland or Virginia area, but can travel to other states on the east coast for treatment. Any referrals or information that you can provide would be greatly appreciated!
