Thanks for the reply. I'm glad you're seeing results. It seems we're both basically at the same stage then. Do you exfoliate your lips each day, out of interest?

Just another point. I was researching dry mouth and its causes yesterday, and I read someone suggest purchasing a humidifier. It made sense to me because, of course in these winter months especially, the central heating being on really does dry out the air in our rooms.

My parents suggested trying out one of those radiator humidifiers for the night, and since we didn't have one, I simply filled up three small containers of water and placed them on my radiator at around 7 at night. By the time I went to bed my room was noticeably more cool and easy to breath in. This coupled with leaving the window open slightly throughout the night really helped my problem.

I purchased a proper humidifier yesterday which I plan to leave running all night so this will hopefully eliminate my dry mouth problem.

I am now currently in another strict aquaphor routine, and have been using it with protopic ointment (which I haven't done before) so I will update on results.
