High PH water unhealthy?

I'm reading some different articles on this, and there are many differing opinions. Some say no benefits, and there is one study that says high PH water damaged the heart of rats in a study. Then there are other opinions that say it has no bad effects, and heals you with anti oxidants.

I am trying natural spring water with high PH of 8.4 at the moment, as it seems better than other water that is high PH by man made ionizers. Though it is still very expensive, and it decreases stomach acid which is suppose to help the stomach.

So I am not sure how to go about this, as of now I am mixing high PH natural spring water with regular water that is acidic, and cleaned by reverse osmosis through man made devices but considerably cheaper.

Anyone have any experiences with high PH water? How long have you been drinking it, any reported side effects or benefits? Thanks for your help in advance and good luck in your pursuit toward a cure.
