Re: Six Quart High Enemas
This notion that only large volume enemas clean the colon completely is crap (pun intended). A series of properly administered 2-quart enemas will clean the colon just as thoroughly as super large enemas.
It's not liking pouring water into a glass where one has to fill the glass to capacity to get the liquid all the way to the top. The colon naturally forces the water deeper as it fills so that a 2-quart enema will fill the entire colon to a diameter of just under 1-1/2 inches.
If you are still getting fecal matter after three enemas, then your procedure is wrong. In addition, as you flush out the colon more matter flows in from the small intestine to replace it. That is why proper colon cleansing (such as prep for a colonoscopy) requires a one day fast before flushing.
Barium enemas have a volume of under 2
quarts and they completely fill the colon, top to bottom.
Very few people are capable of taking enemas of 4-quarts or larger. Remember a
quart of water weights two
pounds so a six
quart enemas introduces 12
pounds of water. most normal people cannot tolerate the pressure and the weight.
