Re: Looking for fellow breath and/or body odour sufferers for supportive friendship
When I first acknowledged that the comments I heard were directed at me I had no idea what to think. I did what everyone else did, shower, change clothes, brush teeth, use deodorant. I was in shock when after all the years of assuming the comments were directed at others, I realized it was me. I have already posted what I am currently doing that seems to have given me great improvement, you can search using my name. The thing though that it was only last year that I realized my breath had anything to do with it. I started working in a mobile situation where I moved from place to place, and in one of the places I worked with very young kids, and that's who really shed the light for me (some grown folks too). Why I never thought of breath was because of the nature of the comments ... it smells like ass, straight up s...t, something died in here... you get the idea. So I thought it was a generalized
Body Odor only and never considered my breath. I thanked God for those little kids, because it's better you know than not to know. Apparently it was so strong it would send people opening windows even in large rooms! I know many know what that feels like. The actions I take for most part seem to have helped. I also use smart mouth and therabreath lozenges when I have to have close conversations. I can say that from the reactions I am not where I used to be. I believe generalized
Body Odor was also a problem, I will post later my actions and reasoning.
