Freeze dried Aloe vera color?

Dear CZ,

I ordered a freeze dried aloe vera. It says it's from Florida but when it arrived it was shipped from India.

On the picture from Amazon it looks green. It's not green it's more of a brown color. I'm not sure if this sounds accurate for freeze dried aloe vera. It's the whole plant.

I'd really appreciate help with this..
