First look at your diet. Like you said fiber from organic fruits and vegetables is a way to go. Another thing people who have ton of gas are eating Sugar and processed foods that feed the bad buggers. Most smelly farts come from fermentation of foods, most meat foods ferment in your gut, most bad combination of foods ferment in your gut. If you have low stomach acid which does not break down the food then it ferments in your gut.
When we have a lot of gas that means too many bad bacteria are generating gas in your gut. Take kefir, sauerkraut and kimchi everyday to get the good bacteria in your gut.
If you can get hold of a good probiotics in a pill that would be good too. I take Purezyme brand, a bit expensive but I know that they are made from good veggie source.
