Re: Low body temp caused by thyroid or adrenals?
When the immune system is invoked with most infections then a cascade of things happen. The endocrine system plays a key role in the immune attack. The endocrine system is a network of different things going on that coordinate with each other like a sports team. When one of the hormones gets too high or too low then this affects the other hormones much like a domino effect.
Every person I know with chronic infections has endo abnormalities be it thyroid, adrenal, pancreas, thymus, androgens (testosterone/estrogen) and so on. The hypothalamus and pituitary are also dysregulated.
The liver becomes flooded with toxins and cannot properly detoxify which causes further problems. The liver plays a key role in many metabolic functions and detoxifies many of the hormones.
pH can be balanced with sodium bicarbonate, easiest way to do it. Add potassium and magnesium for added benefit. Bicarbonates are naturally produced and their job is to quench the acids that body makes during infection stages. Sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) is cheap and effective and will turn around acid conditions quickly. Put a drop of this on pH paper and watch it turn purple rapidly (purple meaning alkaline), I cannot find anything else that can do this.
I also like ionized minerals (Ion Charge from Source Naturals). Electrolytes are critical for health, they affect neurological and promote energy for the body, I have found them quite helpful in detoxification. Electrolytes are rapidly burned up in catabolic states - any infection will drive catabolism up. These states (catabolic) promote destruction mostly due to the high oxidation they produce.
