Re: What Worked For Me - Part 2: Antifungals
The active ingredient in goldenseal is berberine. Berberine is found also in oregon grape extract and is much cheaper.
Wormwood is an anti-parasitic and is not antifungal as far as I know. Cat's Claw is an immune stimulant and is not an antifungal as far as I know.
Saccharomyces Boulardii attacks candida but is itself a yeast (not harmful to humans). Antifungals will kill Saccharomyces Boulardii so you might want to take it at bedtime away from antifungals.
So the antifungals you are using are:
Pau d'Arco
Peppermint oil
monolaurin
SF722
goldenseal
If you want to rotate antifungals, you should have more in your arsenal. Get olive leaf extract and caprylic acid.
Some people make a big deal about rotating antifungals but I'm not so sure. It doesn't hurt to do so however.
I assume you are taking nystatin powder. It is better than pills. Nystatin enemas are also excellent.
Good luck to you!
