Answer to DesertLily's question - Re: JOINTS

DesertLily,

I wanted to give you an answer to your question regarding Joints and fasting and that Dr. Shelton does not write much specifically about it. I also decided to start a new thread since the one we were on had gone to deep and perhaps many readers would not get to read it.

So far I only found the following excerpt from Dr. Shelton's book.......

"It is rare that Arthritis is a hopeless condition. Even after years of suffering most Arthritis can evolve a high degree of health where no ankylosis (abnormal stiffening and immobility of a joint due to fusion of the bones) has developed. Most joints may be restored to a healthy state. When the joint structures are destroyed in chronic inflammation of the joint, the joint surface loses its synovial membrane (lubricating surface) leaving the ends of the bones rough, and the bones grow together (fused) into a solid bone. There is no longer a movable joint and the change is irreversible."

Here is what my doctors says....

Here is what Dr. Carolyn Deam has to say.....

"Flouride from water, drugs and food sources binds with Magnesium making Magnesium unavailable to the body and unable to do its work. The Magnesium-Flouride mineral produced is called sella its; it is almost insoluble and ends up taking the place of Magnesium in hard tissues likes bones and cartilage, but it's brittleness makes the bone susceptible to fracture. The reduction in Magnesium causes a decrease in enzymatic action in the body."

Now my doctor also said that joint problems in knees are also due to weak supporting muscles. So doing leg presses helps a lot.

So in conclusion, take magnesium regularly, avoid all fluorides, take anti-inflammatory herbs like Turmeric, exercise and lastly, fast with water only for three days. Well, that is what works for me some people may feel better in one or two days. Also going to the gym and doing leg presses helped me a lot.

Hope this helps.

I am still reading Dr. Shelton's books just in case if he writes more.
