Re: black seed

Hello Pauper,

As you probably already know the diabetes and hypertension are the culprit for the other conditions you have. Both can be silent killers and wreak havoc on the body if left untreated.

Can black seed lower blood glucose and blood pressure? Yes. In diabetics, the constricted and damaged blood vessels cause lack of circulation and hypertension. As Black seed dilates and repairs vessels, thins blood and improves circulatory function, and helps lower blood sugar, it can have remarkable effects with both conditions. But i would strongly suggest seeking the advice of a certified herbalist and/or Naturopath, who can devise a comprehensive regimen after a thorough consult and evaluation. Your diet will most likely need to be addressed, and another thing to consider are the meds you are currently taking. If you are on blood thinners or beta blockers black seed can complicate their effects on your body.

A very well known and widely published remedy for high blood Sugar is to combine equal parts (1 cup) Ground Black Seed, Oregano, true Elecampane, and pomegranate peel. You should take a tbsp of this mixture 15 minutes before meals for 4 weeks until your levels regulate. The pomegranate is also good for blood pressure.

Personally, I drink this as a tea by adding a tbsp in a cup of piping hot water. Other herbs and spices that assist in lowering blood pressure and glucose are Hibiscus and True (Ceylon) Cinnamon.

Turmeric is also good for a variety of ailments. here's a link to a turmeric milk recipe. I've posted it here on CZ before. Here's the link... //www.curezone.org/forums/am.asp?i=2140799

As for the acid in the body, also a side effect of diuretics often prescribed to diabetics, consuming less red meat is essential. Eat more organic veggies and fruits. ACV with water and lemon water also help but be careful because the acidity can cause erosion of tooth enamel.

I hope this information helped Pauper. Again, because of the complexity of your conditions, I urge you to seek the advice of an certified herbal specialist.
