Accepting that ''truth'' can only come from professionals is what is in the way. It's the way the training works from childhood, and is of course passed from mother and father to child.

It's the safe method, after all.

Whatever calls that intimacy into question throws the child into 'hide under the blanket' mode!

This guy tells the story much closer to home. He's a doc, he quotes the stats, he goes for the neck.
Probably best if it's not you trying to explain the issue, but someone wearing the white coat and being plain.


S'been a hard pill for me to swallow too, but giving the first warning, the second warning.. that's what you're responsible for. People are simply responcible for their own actions, and suffering further down the line because of their own actions..? It's a self-earned reward and a self-fulfilling prophecy.

"I'll be fine as long as I follow my doc!" ... belief creates the world that a person lives in, be it a miserable little hole from another person's perspective or not.


I've had a pretty well-experienced forumgoer patiently telling me again and again that my loved ones are more likely to follow an example than to listen to words.
It's so true. :o
