MSM worsening neuropathy?

Does anyone know if MSM can worsen neuropathy? Is this because it's repairing the nerves, a detox reaction, etc?

I was taking MSM capsules (Doctor's Best brand, I believe) for a while. I finished the bottle, and have just moved to some Kala Health OptiMSM crystal flakes that are supposed to be much better. I'm taking 4000mg daily (was taking 2000-3000mg with the capsules).

Out of nowhere I'm finding that some neuropathy I had completely under control is rearing its ugly head. The B12 that normally stops it in its tracks is no longer working. I'm very nervous as to what's going on. There's just a lot of tingling, some throbbing (not painful - just like my feet have mini hearts in them that are beating!), a tiny bit of burning... Nothing intense, but I DO NOT LIKE IT!!!

Is this a good sign, or do I need to back off a little on the MSM?
