Being 'Christ-like' rather than being 'Christian'.
Seems a lot of people these days say they're Christians, and they are - they know Scripture back to front - but their behavior is definitely not what Jesus would have condoned. The idea is to be Christlike - loving, accepting, kind, forgiving, compassionate, then we're treading in the spiritual footsteps of the Lord.
I've been reading a lot and listening to podcasts, and there's movement now more towards being tolerant and inclusive, which is the Christlike way, rather than judgmental, exclusive, and unkind, which has become the Christian way for a lot of folk. One podcast that explains it is this one. ttp://cashpeters.podbean.com/e/episode-10-karma-101-a-giving-and-receiving-masterclass But there are more.
Does anyone agree with this?
