Lugols iodine for cellulitis?

Hi guys.. I knew that this was the best place to get help. So I dropped a tool on my foot about a 2 weeks ago. Things didn't get bad until last Tuesday. Can't walk, severe contusion, need to keep it up and iced. I've Basically been laid out for a week now.... Not fun. The doctor at the orthopedic clinic prescribed pain medication and Antibiotics , I'm not fond of either of them. I'd prefer to take a less damaging approach, as my gut is sensitive to drugs. Since there's some cellulitis going on which isn't responding thato great to the doxycycline, I was wondering if the 5% Lugols solution that I have here, would be beneficial on my foot.

I've read a few things about using the Iodine for skin conditions, but nothing specific about cellulitis and how much, how often ect.

Can anyone help me out in regards to this
