Balanced/Complete Juice Recipe
As a recently gainfully unemployed person, I intent to take the time to really work on myself. A Cleansing fast tends to enter the picture there.
I want to do a water-fast, BUT I also want to do a daily moving yoga practice for at least an hour. Since yoga can get really intense, I won't be able to keep up on water alone. So I'm looking for a relatively complete juice recipe that I can take 30-60 minutes before starting the yoga practice, in order to fill up on some energy beforehand. Call it intermittent juice-fasting. :)
Does anyone have a good recipe for me? It doesn't have to taste well, but if I'm going to have 1 juice a day, it might as well be as balanced and complete as possible. May even help me stay in the fast longer than the average 30 days.
In the veggies department I'm thinking broccoli and kale (carrots?). As for fruits, bananas obviously don't juice, so the standard apples come to mind. I'd choose some pineapple, although it doesn't keep very well and isn't nowhere near locally grown.
I could juice them separately and take them after one another. Then I'd just need the best selection.
Any tips/recipes?
