Status of Plantar Wart?

Last week I noticed that I had two small plantar warts. I researched some ideas/cures and the first night I put on a combination of oregano oil and tea tree oil and wrapped my foot in tape. The next day I could see the black roots. There were about 4 lines in one wart and two in the other. I left them alone for one day and the next used sterilized tweezers to try and pull them out. I was able to get one larger root out of the one. I used the oregano oil/tt oil for the second day. The third I used apple cider vinegar and duct tape. After that third day, I noticed that the plantar warts had turned into holes, but the remaining black roots are still there.

So, my question is, what is the status of this wart? Is it going away because it turned into a hole? Should I leave it alone at this point? What about the remaining roots? I'm not sure what's going on with it at this point.
