Iodine or something please

So I have hypothyroidism due to a Severe Brain Injury which occurred 07/2014.

Was put on 50mcg of synthroid due to blood labs. It's been 2 months and I feel the same.

Symptoms:Sluggish,Irritable,Hard to sleep, itchy, brain fog

What other route can I go? Which Iodine is better? Nascent or Lugol's?

What else should I take? I just need a solution soon. I hate feeling like this at 27 years old.
