Mega-Liposomal Supplements Deliver Unprecedented Amounts of Supplements to the Bloodstream
by Tony Isaacs
(The Best Years in Life) Liposomal encapsulation technology, where medications and supplements are encapsulated in tiny bubbles and delivered in high concentrations to the bloodstream or target areas in the body, has been around since the 1970's and has become increasingly popular in recent years. Now liposomal delivery has been taken to a new level by Aurora mega-liposomal and their partners Vida Lifesciences with the introduction of liposomal supplements which deliver unprecedented amounts of vitamin C, glutathione and CoEnzymeQ10 (aka CoQ10).
A liposome is a tiny bubble (spherical vesicle) which has at least one lipid bilayer and it can be used as a vehicle for administration of nutrients and pharmaceutical drugs. The word itself is derived from two Greek words: lipo ("fat") and soma ("body"). Liposomes were first described by British hematologist Alec D Bangham in 1961. Along with colleagues Jeff Watkins and Malcolm Standish, Bangham wrote a 1965 paper that effectively launched the liposome “industry”.
Vitamin C, glutathione and CoQ10 are essential nutrients which have a great many essential health benefits, including their use to combat and avoid cancer. All three have a history of therapeutic use in high dosages, especially vitamin C. High dose vitamin C therapy is particularly well known among natural health and alternative cancer treatment circles.
Here is a brief look at the features and importance of each of these three vital nutrients as well as the dosage of the new Aurora mega-liposomal products:
Vitamin C
Vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid, is a water-soluble nutrient, meaning that your body doesn't store it and that it must be replenished regularly for optimum health. In the body, it acts as an antioxidant, helping to protect cells from the damage caused by free radicals (compounds which can damage DNA and which are formed when our bodies convert the food we eat into energy). People are also exposed to free radicals in the environment from cigarette smoke, air pollution, and ultraviolet light from the sun.
The body also needs vitamin C to make collagen, a protein required to help wounds heal and which is essential for smooth healthy skin. In addition, vitamin C improves the absorption of iron from plant-based foods and helps the immune system work properly to protect the body from disease. Vitamin C helps prevent aging as well helps prevent and combat health conditions such as cancer, heart disease, and arthritis.
High-dose vitamin C therapy has been used to combat a number of conditions dating back to the late 1800's, including tetanus, diptheria and polio. In recent years high dose vitamin C therapy has been succesful in many instances against cancer. Other conditions which vitamin C therapy has been successfully employed include kidney stones, cardiovascular disease, hepatitis and AIDS.
Aurora Mega-Liposomal delivers a whopping 3000mg of glutathione in each dose - triple the amount of it's most noted competitor's liposomal vitamin C.
Glutathione
Dr. Mark Hyman calls glutathione the "mother of all antioxidants" and says that he has found glutathione deficiency to be common in virtually all the seriously ill patients he has treated, including people with chronic fatigue syndrome, heart disease, cancer, chronic infections, autoimmune disease, diabetes, autism, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, arthritis, asthma, kidney problems, liver disease and more.
The body forms glutathione naturally, but production decreases as we age. Glutathione is essential for maintaining healthy cellular mitochondria, and it is notable that damaged or malfunctioning cellular mitochondria is part of the cancer process that occurs when exposure to toxins and unhealthy cellular terrain combine to trigger a cellular defensive response where healthy cells become cancer cells when they revert to a primitive form of respiration that uses glucose (sugar) instead of oxygen for respiration and then refuse to die and multiply.
Aurora Mega-Liposomal delivers 750mg of glutathione in each dose.
CoQ10
Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is a naturally occurring oil-soluble, vitamin-like substance which is absolutely essential for optimum health and longevity. Also known as ubiquinone, CoQ10 is found in virtually every cell in the body, primarily in cellular mitochondria, and it is a vital component of the electron transport chain which generates 95 percent of the body's energy via adenosine triphosphate (ATP). CoQ10 is essential for good heart and muscle health and it also helps promote longevity.
The effectiveness and safety of CoQ10 in the treatment of congestive heart failure has been well established by numerous studies. One recent study also found that CoQ10 can improve survival after a cardiac arrest. Low CoQ10 levels have been observed in cancer patients, while treatment with CoQ10 has been shown to be effective against cancer. CoQ10 has also been found to be beneficial for migraine headaches and some studies have indicated that it may help provide better brain health and function.
The body also produces its own CoQ10 but, like glutathione, our natural production decreases as we age. Notably, statin drugs can decrease natural CoQ10 production by up to an additional 40% - and several million people are currently taking statin drugs thanks to mainstream medicine embracing the myth of high cholesterol causing heart attacks and strokes.
Aurora Mega-Liposomal delivers 300mg of CoQ10 in each dose.
Vida Lifesciences reports that they and Aurora are constantly working to improve their products as well as introduce new products. In recent months they have improved the flavor, upgraded ingredients, removed potassium sorbate and improved the packaging of each of their mega-liposomal supplements. They have also just announced that they have developed smaller size and dose options and that they will soon be introducing mega-liposomal curcumin and alpha lipoic acid.
