you are correct, it is critical to cleanse your colon before the flush to make sure toxins are purged out and not stuck inside...which is the flu like symptoms you had. did you pass green stones ? ;-)

I highly recommend to use a good colon cleanser before, enema only cleanses a small part of your digestive track.
