Re: Unsure about adrenal fatigue
Thanks! I didn't follow the Roy Masters meditation exactly. What did help me were a few things:
1) continually moving (envisioning and trying to feel) the body's energy downward. I didn't sit or put my hand on my leg like Roy recommends, but the downward flow is a good practice. I tried to envision water flowing down internally from my head to my feet.
2) I continually seek blocks in the body, in muscle, tissue, organs, nerves, energy, whatever feels like a block. I found it helpful to do a quick drawing of a body on paper and then use colors, patterns, lines to express how the body feels, to help identify and confirm subconscious feeling. When I feel a block I imagine a big comb going through the body, trying to untangle the knots, putting all my attention in that spot. And I picture water in a river passing through rocks, repeating the word 'flow' in my head. It takes practice but it's cool when it works.
3) keeping words to a minimum by emphasizing the right brain- drawing, doing puzzles, listening to instrumental music- was helpful.
4) Breath of fire is a great practice to lower energy in the body. It's breathing quickly from the diaphragm, it's a yoga technique. I'll try to find a video to demonstrate. It is great for increasing body heat and yang energy. Dr Wilson has a good article on yin and yang. I was vegetarian for 15 years so needed more yang.
Hope that helps. Let me know if it does! Cheers
