It depends how long you have had them. It might also be a different type of mite than scabies. Bird mites maybe.

They usually only itch when they first dig in. Once they are under the skin they dont itch.

Do you ever get a sensation like a pinprick?

Bird mites give that sensation. Hurts like hell.

Have you had any itching earlier on?

Been to any hotels lately where they may not have changed the sheets or have dodgy laundry techniques.
