Antibiotic resistant bacteria and WF?
Over the last couple of days I have been posting about how I have a kidney infection and got scared so chose to get my hands on an
Antibiotic instead of water-fasting.
Since then, the universe has been bombarding me with article after article on
Antibiotics , e.g.

(deaths from antibiotic-resistant infections projected to increase from 700,000 to 10,000,000 per year by 2050, 80% of
Antibiotics in US fed to livestock)
and

(I knew about the effect of our microbiome on digestion and therefore on better health through low inflammation, but this article extends the knowledge to show that anxiety, depression, possibly autism, are all linked to the health of the microbiome in our gut)
This highlights for me the increasing importance of leading a low-inflammatory lifestyle and supporting our bodies in their ability to heal themselves. With each passing year, as the effectiveness of
Antibiotics deceases, this becomes more and more crucial. We should do our best to prevent infection from settling in our bodies as the stakes are much higher as time passes.
It highlights for me the need to reduce meat consumption, not only to lower inflammation but also to contribute to the reduction in the global demand for meat.
It highlights for me the need for probiotics - as supplements and as food - as an essential part of the post-WF refeeding process.
And finally it makes me wonder how the greater antibiotic-resistance of bacteria impacts our bodies' ability to deal with them through WF.
Thoughts?
