My modified paleo fast.


Started a modified fast last week and think I've found the perfect way for me to lose weight, cleanse, have lots of energy.
Days 1-5: I have one scoop of plain unflavored (grass-fed sources) protein with 1Tbs of coconut oil or cream, blended with 1-2cups of black coffee. That's it for the day. I drink lots of water, especially mineral water, and unsweetened tea for the rest of the day.
Days 6-7 Fri-Sat: I have the same breakfast, a small salad for lunch, and a low carb paleo dinner. So I don't get out of ketosis which I prefer for weight loss.

I lost 9# last week, then added on pound back on the refeeding days. I fell great, lots of energy, was looking forward to getting back to my fasting days on Saturday evening.

I'm a longtime faster, and this is by far the easiest plan I've ever done. I'm in middle age and find it very hard to lose weight even on a low carb paleo eating. So have high hopes for sticking to this for the next 2-3 months. I exercise with weight training and walks.

I expect about 4# loss this week, since the initial water weight loss should have settled.
