Re: drainfield worms

New to forum but I'm about to buy a house with a septic system (30 years old)...had inspection and no sign of leaks or previous backup. Recommendation from inspector was to put Copper Sulfate in every few weeks to kill any potential roots (the leech field is in an area of trees). I researched the hell out of septic as I have never owned a home with one. I am VERY curious about this whole "worm" thing and wondered if you have successfully implemented this Spring? Still not sold dumping worms in the tank dirt and all, but I'm curious if buying burrowing worms and spreading across leech field will have any impact? Again, no problems yet, but I want to renew the system before there is! Any updated insight would be appreciated. Thanks! Tweet
