Yes these situations are not easy. I always have to talk to myself don't let him suffer because you do not want to let him go. I am glad you are
using medication, not very CZ like, but we have
to stay realistic.
One lady once wrote on the last day she always gave the dog a steak. I gave our dog my organic hamburger in the last week. Then one day he could
not get up anymore and we knew it was the end.
He was still happy and alert, it still makes me cry. I gave him some extra medication in hamburger.
I is good to learn from other people. Once we were at the dog beach and a person from the dog park was there, he fostered dogs. We said that is
long drive and he said she has cancer and I want her to have some enjoyment. And he did that for a foster dog.
It is good to talk to the vet and see what he says. I will be thinking of you both.
