There has been a lot of discussion as to whether or not Morgellons is fungal, and the experts seem to contend that they aren't observing fungal properties in specimens (e.g. Marianne Middelveen's presentation at 2014 CEHF conference).
For me, this begs the question: What the hell else, besides fungi, can grow this fast?
