Candida and B Vitamins
Do B Vitamins Feed Candida
The answer is yes. I have struggled with and treated patients for candida for many years and have concluded that individuals taking higher than 100% RDA of B vitamins do worse than those that take roughly 100% RDA. It is not always candida that is the problem either. Many types of fungus, bacteria, and viruses also seem to thrive on "excess" B vitamins. I have found that 100% RDA gives the body what it needs while not promoting the 'dysbiosis'.(A term for the wrong balance of microbes in the GI tract)

Science behind this but the tongue in Chinese medicine reveals the overgrowth of these microbes by the coating. If you struggle with candida or fungal overgrowth, take a B complex and watch that coating on your tongue in the morning before brushing become thicker.
Individuals with dysbiosis and who take no B vitamins will develop B vitamin deficiencies and will become lethargic. In Chinese medicine, the tongue with teeth mark impressions in it, is a sign of poor absorption and will often will be improved by taking B vitamins.
