Cat likes straigt lugols iodine
The cats are going nuts.
At least, specifically just one is, and the other hasn't changed.
I have a red Norwegian forest cat and a grey striped off-the-street moggy, hand raised from age 6 weeks.
Red and Grey are both over 5 years old, on a standard royal canine diet, neutered males. They battle here and there for dominance, are allowed outside freely, sometimes hunt, and use the garden for all sorts of toiletries.
Grey is one year older, and started his life off with worms. He went in for weekend treatment at the vets one time for kidney stones. He's been of a lower appetite and slower activity than the red one since then.
I was messing with my
Lugol's the other day, and would you believe it, Grey stuck his nose in under my arm and licked at the dropper of his own accord. I didn't let him get more than that (no full drops, just traces off the dropper.)
Now inner day later he's seeking attention, testing around the house and very affectionate. Not gulping down food like normal, but much more alert, for sure.
Fort the sake of it I offered the Red a little
Lugols in water, but he spurned it. He's just watching Grey with curious amusement.
Amazing, these creatures...
