Possible way to help EC

Oh dear this forum thing is confusing. Anyways for the past couple of years I've been back and forth with different creams and lip balms such as protopic, aquaphor, burts bees, etc... and nothing has really helped. Recently however my doctor suggested i get a allergy test. After they took some test they concluded i was allergic to a couple of things like relaxers ( which i started about the same time my lips peeled). It seems logical that my lips might have started peeling because of that. Basically what im trying to do is suggest others to get a alergy test and see if there might be factors u would have never guessed that has caused ur EC. I'm hoping my EC is just a case of an Allergic reaction. However, i'm not sure because i was just informed about the possibility. I'm going to try to avoid all the things they have listed i might be allergic to and see if there is an improvement with my lips. I figured it was best to share this info if it might help more people out. Sorry if there is already a forum about this. If others have tried this already please tell me.
