LIPOSOMAL: Ascorbid Acid or Sodium Ascorbate??

Hey guys, I am crazy confused about this!

I see so many recipes online for making liposomal vitamin C with ascorbic acid. It seems to be the standard.

However, I bought an e-book on Amazon that compiles some research and gives a recipe that the author tested and uses, and she says ONLY use sodium ascorbate because ascorbic acid is too acidic. She also says that if you DO choose to use ascorbic acid, you have to use baking soda as well.

On the one hand I like the sodium ascorbate because it's used in IVs but on the other hand ascorbic acid seems to be so widely used and accepted... anyone know the final answer on this?

Thanks!
