Re: detoxification and healing the gut!

I'm a huge coffee drinker, with milk, I love sweets especially ice cream and cookies. I also used to eat meat and bacon every morning at work which is an absolute no on my current diet.

A year or 2 ago I tried a modified anti-fungal/paleo diet and thought it was anti-candida because I didn't eat fruit or sweets. It did nothing for me in terms of lips. The key is the acid/alkaline to keep the immune system in check and elimination. I believe, it's still early yet, but I told my fiancee, I really think I'll be cured soon. I actually feel like the lips are trying to heal, it's a weird feeling because I'm used to the shredding, but they do feel different.

I remember Mike Pylon describing "they feel better before they look or get better", and I always sensed I was not on the right track because they always just felt like crap.

Questions:
I check PH but not religiously.
I have PH strips, I got them in health food store. I was 6.4 saliva in the beginning which is not great. I drank a mocha a day at the time, depressed as heck. My fiancee is like ph 7.2 and healthy as a horse, that still didn't convince me though, until I did the diet and started feeling better. I actually got up to 7.0, it took a while, I cheated a little this weekend but I'm super-motivated to stick with it.

So first off my case is not exactly mild, but not like Daniel's (sorry DM if that was rude, you are the best! Congrats on your health and happiness!) but still pretty extensive.
My lips got really really awful trying stuff doctors prescribed, the peeling spread to the sides, top lip and a larger part of the vermillion. Some dude here said try baking soda. That was a huge huge mistake. It took a while for them to settle back down, about 6 months.

My changes are small but they are building momentum, I have both top and bottom lip affected. My bottom lip seems to be a little bit tougher. I try not to get my lips wet , but when they do the middle portion looks white but only a very tiny line at my inner mouth, the rest is pink, it seems like it's healing from the inside out, bottom to top and inner to outer.

Imagine a balloon expanding...so this small spot that looks or feels better is expanding week by week. It's still fragile and I can't say it's healed but it's so much better than it was. It's almost skin, not crust. Not one hundred percent perfect skin, but it's skin. That makes me want to dance for joy. Parts do still get wet and peel on the sides and that dang triangle.

I have some crusting on the sides still but the buildup is thinner and it stays on my lips without peeling for longer than before. My triangle still crusts. But the middle part, gosh hasn't crusted in about a week or more. The part that crusts still turns white.

I think my diet is similar to Lee's, I do eat fruit. I'm deficient in nutrients according to my evaluation and I need the vitamins, but as long as I stick to more alkaline fruits, I seem to be doing ok.Did Lee's eat fruit?

Also food combing seems to play a role. I'm trying not to confuse my system, sometimes a mono meal of,steamed broccoli with lemon is fine. Then later on eat something else. You can space it out into small meals.

Other detox methods: This stuff sounds so hokey but if it works....(for me right now)

Heat/Sauna, You got to get it out of your skin and pores, skin is an elimination organ.Sweat it out.

Lymphatic massage, if lymph is congested one will be toxic. I rub peanut oil or castor on lymph nodes after showers. I dry brush long stokes on arms and legs.

Castor oil packs, big time cheesey, but I've been doing them. Not every day because they are messy and it's a pain to make a cold goopey pack, but then you feel pretty good after.

I am trying to eat, eat fiber to make my digestion work properly, I get constipated because meat, coffee and diary dry you out, so I'm aiming for 1-2 good BM's daily.Mostly successful. I may have some sluggish bowel.

I take a magnesium supplement because I'm low in that and it helps intestinal motility.

It's almost 2 am here so I am going to sign off here, but I'll email if there is anything else I've missed.

I was super skeptical at first, but I'm feeling real hope. I really think it's a form of toxicity for lack of a better term.!

Also the colostrum sounds very very promising, I may add it, I don't think it counts as dairy the way milk does.

I will have to research.
