Re: Anybody know a little chemistry? Zinc Sulfate monohydrate vs heptahydrate.

May I ask why you are only posting negative information that is dubious at best? You say that Zinc Sulphate MAY be "toxic if ingested, according to unconfirmed animal information". You might as well say that "monkeys may attack you in your sleep according to unconfirmed dreams from somebody". That statement you made is utterly pointless. The fact is, ANYTHING can be toxic if ingested, since it all depends on the QUANTITY. An excellent company called Ethical Nutrients in Australia has 3 products called Zinc Test, Zinc Fix, and Zinc Maintain that all contain Zinc Sulphate, and that work excellently. Zinc Sulphate is the STANDARD way that the medical establishment treats zinc deficiency in humans. Zinc Sulphate Monohydrate is the form that is used to supplement, and Zinc Sulphate Heptahydrate is the form used for the taste tests.

Your entire post was negative, not citing one ounce of the amazing benefits one gets from having proper zinc levels in the body. I was having abdominal pains that worried me, so I went to see my doctor. He is an actual MD, but also knows alternative modalities, so the first thing he thought to do was check my zinc levels. Sure enough I was deficient. He put me on the zinc supplements, and BAM, the problem was fixed within a week! The fact is, it really seems that MOST people are zinc deficient, and this is a major root cause of many ailments they are suffering. Zinc is key to all biology as it is the main thing that holds enzymes together, and is also a key component of the electron transport chain within your mitochondria. When levels are low, all kinds of things in your body start to slow down or even stop working.

This place is called CURE ZONE, not FEAR ZONE, so I would suggest that if you are going to just spout negative generalities, you really should not do it. If you want to caution people, tell them the limits, and give them facts...not hearsay.
