After developing seb derm from Antibiotic use I have been doing research and came along something called cradle cap. This is just like seb derm and occurs in new born babies. It is from the same yeast that we all have on our skin even if we dont have seb derm the yeast is on our skin. The diffrence though is that with the cradle cap it goes away after a few months of being a new born. Now why is this? Well I believe it is because there immune system starts functioning correctly and the gut is filled with good bacteria. There are studies that show the breastfed milk given to a new born promotes good bacterial growth. The immune system is mainly all in the gut. As a newborn the immune system is very vulnerable until it starts functioning right and has the antibodies that fight things off. In my case I developed seb derm literally the next day from taking an Antibiotic for a strep throat. As well as other symptoms that are immune related. The Antibiotics must have wiped out a good portion of my good bacteria causing the immune system to not work properly hence causing the seb derm to come about. I am going to try and test for candida. I know it all has to do with my gut and my immunity. But thats where I need some help and advice. Could it be leaky gut ? or just a imbalance in flora. I am going to start taking probiotics but i dont think that is going to be enough. What do yall think ?
