Constipation just won't get better-Possible Parasite ? :(

I am female, 21 years old and fairly active. For the past year I have been suffering from severe constipation which appears to be resistant to diet changes and over the counter laxatives. I have tried eliminating all forms of junk food, eating fresh fruits, raw diet, etc, and it doesn't seem to make a difference. My stomach hurts constantly and the pain resembles a "sore" feeling, usually my mid to lower abdomen.
I have about 2 bowel movements per week and I admit to putting it off because of the pain. They are very large which I know would eliminate the possibility of a blockage. About 2 weeks ago I gave myself a suppository which only made things worse.
My main problem is that I'm embarrassed to see a doctor. I just can't imagine going in there and openly discussing my issues. I hear about other people who are comfortable talking about it but I am not one of them. Now I'm worried because I've been noticing some small white specs in the toilet and I'm starting to think that perhaps this is a parasite. It would make sense because basically my body is saying to hell with what goes in, it keeps producing the same thing over and over.
So my question is, is there anything else I can try on my own before I resort to seeing a doctor? My diet now has consisted of fruits, vegetables, white meat, etc.
I have tried over the counter miralax, ducolax suppositories and benefiber.
About the parasite, I'm still not entirely sure that's what causing it. I hate to be gross but if I could share a pic on here maybe someone could tell me.

Thanks!
