AF and coffee enemas -- insomnia anyone?
Hi, started daily
coffee enemas about 3 weeks ago after many on AF forum said it would help with detox symptoms in the last stages of AF recovery.
I've got to say that I felt wonderful on them. Not stimulated, but supported with calming, level energy, and my insomnia (which presents with other detox symptoms) went away. I've had a on/off again mix of onset and also waking up for good at 3-ish shortly after being diagnosed with AF 18 months ago and going on Kavinace and other supps. All sleep aids have no effect. A saliva re-test showed my glutamate was elevated--possibly from excess taurine in supps or detox reaction to copper etc.?
1 week ago started waking up again at 2:30 to 3 with no more sleep possible. No heart palps, no panic, no anxiety, just a calm hyper awareness which is what the glutamate used to feel like. Weird thing, I never felt better after not sleeping, tired sure, but not wired and tired like before.
I can find next to nothing about CEs causing insomnia. I started adding a second enema in case I was triggering more detox but no change yet after three nights. Only supp I'm on is magnesium malate (with 100 mg of calcium). Someone said calcium is stimulating if you are sympathetic dominant.
1. Should I back off CEs or keep doing two enemas a day for awhile?
Some here say they only do CEs when needed--i.e. when detox flares up. That's when I thought to go to two CEs in case my detox was flaring.
2. Can CEs increase detox and symptoms in some people (e.g. thru reabsorption)? After all, the Gerson folks are doing them every few hours...
Thanks.
