I have a small varicose vein in my leg that has been getting bigger, looking very purple, and hurting for the last week. I was out of my leg veins formula and saving up to pay rent, so I just let it hurt. Last night it was hurting really bad and I decided to massage it. I know the conventional sop md's all say don't massage varicose veins, but I don't trust them about anything else, so why this? Anyways, I tend toward contrarianism, so I massaged the darn thing, really deep, for a long time, and all the area around it. By the time I got done it didn't hurt any more. When I woke up this morning the pain was still gone and it wasn't swollen any more, and it wasn't as purple. I will be massaging it from now on.
