Roundworm from dogs and Kids! Terrified of blindness or brain damage!

My dogs were just tested positive for roundworms. My dog had horrible diarrhea. I've cleaned up the mess immediately and we just had our carpets cleaned, but still worried about the rest of the house. Especially worried for my kids (4, 4, & 2). I'm terrified of the blindness or brain damage roundworms from dogs can cause.

I've called our pediatrician and he told me to give the kids Pin X. Wtf?? Isn't that for pinworms?
