Grass Fed Finished Butter Causing Constipation?
Hi All...
Okay question... Briefly... I was a raw foodist for 9 years. But as the 10th year approached I ran into health issues, got blood work saw lots of deficiencies in spite of covering all bases via research, supplements etc. So worked with a professional to transition over to a more paleo, grass fed, finished, Weston price type diet. All has been good with great results... But my one question is... Why is it every time I consume butter, literally my poop turns into pebbles? I get plenty of both types of fiber. I still green juice it up. During my raw food days, I consumed coconut oil, coconut butter, healthy fats of all types with no issues whatsoever. I can consume them now as well with no problems. I can consume raw whole milk kefir, with no issues what so ever which I do to get plenty of healthy bacteria. As well as eating plenty of other fermented foods. I squat always when I go #2, have been for years. But As soon as I consume grass fed finished raw butter, cultured or un cultured... My digestion stops, and I have hard to pass pebble poop. I drink plenty of water. PLENTY. This aint my first time at the food rodeo so all the constipation how to help are known. The nutritionist wasn't sure, as when I transitioned I made sure I was taking supplements to help digestion etc. So it's been two years since switching over, and I feel good. But I'm just stumped as to why when I consume butter my digestion just halts? Doesn't do it with coconut oil. Or raw whole milk kefir, or raw cheese, just butter. Of course just don't eat the butter.. lol. But I'm still curious as to what may be causing it? When it does happen, I will start breaking out around my chin and mouth area, but as soon as I become regular it goes away. Yes I got it stay away from the butter, but Im still curious as to why? I have asked people at the Weston Price Org, they were stumped... So after researching about butter, I was under the impression it helped grease the pipes so to speak.... Again no problem with any other type of raw dairy, or fat. Just butter stops it all in its tracks! Why? Curious?
